Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia, is staving off the winter doldrums by engaging in a bit of virtual fun with its audience, specifically the subscribers of its Bard E-News emails.
The current issue of Bard E-News is offering a costume identification contest. For the email links to the article "Meet the Mannequins" on the theater's blog (click here). That blog contains photographs of 18 costumes from Bard on the Beach productions.
Bard E-News subscribers have the opportunity to list five of the 18 costumes and identify the plays in which they were worn. The names of those who successfully identify five costumes will be entered in a drawing to win a pair of Mainstage tickets for the company's 2018 season, which will include William Shakespeare's As You Like It, Macbeth, and Timon of Athens, and Aristophanes's Lysistrata.
The contest closes this Sunday, November 26, at midnight, and the winner's name will be drawn the next day.
